Kipp was diagnosed with appendiceal cancer in September 2004.  He has undergone three surgeries and three rounds of chemotherapy since that time.  He had colostomy surgery in August 2006 and continues to be as active (probably more active) than he was prior to surgery. He believes that ostomy surgery does not have to change your life; in fact, it can actually make life better!
